- More than 200 undergraduate majors and programs
- 1,000 freshmen annually enroll as "undecided" about their major and receive individual advising to guide their academic decisions

- Chicanos in the United States
- Contemporary Issues in Native America

- Approximately 20,000 students from 50 states and 70 countries
- 2,555 African-American, Native American, Hispanic and Asian-American students
- Students of color made up about 17 percent of the entering fall 2009 class
- 133 African-American, Native American, Hispanic and Asian-American full-time faculty
