How do I get the right kind of software for my computing needs?
- Students may buy Microsoft software at a substantially discounted rate
- The BGSU Bookstore also provides educationally priced software

What type of internet connection does BGSU offer?
- 10 Mbps or 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connections depending on building
- Each resident is provided a connection in their residence hall room
What do I need to connect my computer to the BGSU network?
- 10/100 Ethernet support plus an Ethernet cable to connect to the network (recommended to be at least 25 feet)
- Computers should have virus protection. McAfee anti-virus software is provided to students at no cost during Orientation and Registration
What about wireless connections?
- Coverage is available in residence halls and most buildings across campus
- The 802.11 b/g wireless network is accessed using a MyBGSU account
