University Tuition Scholarship for Underrepresented Students

General Information

Students who bring diversity to the BGSU campus community will be considered for awards ranging from $1,000 up to full tuition. The maximum value is over $9,000.

Application Deadline

To ensure consideration the priority deadline to submit this application is March 1, 2008.

Minimum Criteria

  1. Academic Qualifications include:
    • 3.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average on a 4.0 scale
    • 20 ACT Composite or 920 SAT Critical Reading and Math Scores
  2. Demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form (FAFSA). File by March 1, 2008.

Additional Criteria to be Considered:

  1. Race/Ethnicity
  2. Location of High School Attended
  3. State
  4. Ohio County of Residence
  5. Commitment to Diversity and/or Alternative Measures of Academic Achievement
  6. Required Essay

How to apply

  1. Apply for Fall Semester admission to BGSU. Apply online or complete the Freshman Application for Admission. (Transfer Students are not eligible for this scholarship).
  2. Apply online for the University Tuition Scholarship for Underrepresented Students by March 1, 2008.
